I also had the problem of receiving a book with text only on the first page, and the book club immediately replaced it. When I got the 2nd one, I was initially dismayed that while there was more text there, the latter part of the book had none. I was about to write to them about this when I thumbed through it again, and discovered more text. The pages were sticking! I was able to gently pry them all apart, and now I have a book with full text :) I went back to the original one, and in that case, the pages are sticking so badly together that I can't pry them apart. Still...if you got a book with "no" text, pay attention to the thickness of the first page or two versus the last, and then try to separate the thicker pages. My replacement copy is perfect, in spite of having to separate the pages. Hope this helps!

Obviously I didn't read the most recent review (or maybe I ordered before it was written) but I was surpised to see only text on the first page. There's no story in my copy of the book and I'm jealous of the people who rated the book and said the story is great. What the heck?

I loved the story as a child, but the copy I received didn't have text except on the first and last page! Most of the story was missing! I was not amused. The artwork is as beautiful as I remembered but I was very disappointed that I couldn't share the story I loved so much as a child with my little one.

This book was very sweet. My son is only 6 months old, so he only likes to suck on the book right now. However, I enjoy reading it to him.

This is an adorable book. The theme really touched my heart when I read it to my grandson, because I could identify. I'd do anything for him, go to any lengths to keep him from harm. I think kids need to know that there is someone there that they can depend on.
