I bought this for my daughter. She loves to make good looking (& of course, good tasting)desserts. I don't even know if she looked at the recipes, but just the ideas for decorating the cake pops was worth buying the book. Great ideas for decorating!

I didn't have any experience baking treats like this except for a few cakes and cookies in the box that I baked for my family. I saw the author's video while deciding to buy her book about making cake pops and I am amazed as I felt it's something I can do...I am tired of recipes that are way to complicated and have tons of things to buy before making anything. I agree, it is time consuming, it took me more than 3 hours to make 42 pops and packaging and labeling took nearly another 2 hours but when I gave them to kids and friends, I got a ton of compliment. There were even kids looking for them after seeing the little kids eating them...Too bad I didn't have enough for everybody. Now, I am going to try the others in the book...My husband was so impressed when he saw my cake pops that he said, I should try and sell them...Oh gosh, I wish I have the time to do that...LOL Anyway, if you haven't tried baking in your life and you can follow instructions, this is a good book to buy...God bless!

I actually loved this book. I've already tried several things and am following her blog for more ideas. For those that think it's too moist, it's because you mixed in too much frosting. If you do it right and have some patience it is worth the time. Practice makes perfect so it will take a few tries to get the hang of it. But once you do, the options are limitless. Her blog has soooo much more than cake pops too.

I'm always looking for something new to bring to bake sales, pot luck dinners, etc., so I thought I'd try this one out. The results were fun and I got a lot of compliments on them, but they took FOREVER to make. Not something you can whip up in an afternoon. I also have to agree with the other reviews - skip the cake recipes and stick with your own favorite. Just make sure you have the right measurements/proportions or you will get mushy cake pops. Usually means there is too much frosting. I wouldn't recommend this one - I'd go for a cupcake book, instead (try What's New, Cupcake? Also got that book and that's one I LOVE!).
