The pictures alone inspire you to get canning.
Easy to follow instructions. Alot of pickling recipes, but I believe it is a book I will use alot. A healthier way to feed your family.
I have canned and made preserves before, although I do not do it every year. I am not impressed with this book due to the recipes. It seems they are all either pickles or a strange combination for jams. On the plus side, there are pictures and the editor did a great job by making the book appealing......just not any recipes I am interested in that I didn't already have.
Pictures of every recipe, no guessing what it looks like. All ready tried Brown Sugar-Vanilla Banana Butter, sounds strange, but it is absolutely delicious! Just sorry I did not want to take a chance and cut it down by a third. I can not wait to try some of the other ones this summer. A few of the same recipes that I have made from their magazine over the years are included in this book, Basil Simmer Sauce and a pickle recipe, all are excellent. Now bring on the fresh produce!
