Celebrate the holidays in Cape Light where bestselling author and award-winning painter Thomas Kinkade teams up with writer Katherine Spencer in A Wish for Christmas.
Imagine this beautiful little New England town at Christmastime, with cozy, snow-covered cottages and lights gleaming through every window. Here’s a tale of love and hope that will capture your heart.
Jack Bradshaw, a widower, has a new family in Julie and Kate, with maybe even a new baby on the way. Now Jack’s son, David, returns home after serving in Afghanistan, and with him, a chance to heal their wounded relationship. Even before his military duties took him out of the country, David had left Cape Light…and his father. But now there’s a new family in place.
Further, David’s physical injuries may never heal and he’s burdened with psychological issues that stem from his service, plus unresolved problems he never faced at home. He’s having trouble joining in the cheer of the Christmas season and can’t help but wonder if there’s any room for him after all.
But Cape Light is always full of surprises, and it seems that Christmas always brings unexpected gifts that will never be forgotten.

Always enjoy the doings of the folks in Cape Light. This one does not disappoint. Nice to see the trials of a veteran returning with mental and physical problems to overcome. How I wish more of them would receive good treatment and improve in real life! But the book does give you something to think about.

What I love about this story, is that it continued the life of David, whose father is Jack, the Christmas tree farmer. This is one of the things I love most about this series. The first book made me feel like I had been a resident in Cape Light for a short time, and met all these interesting citizens. Then every book after keeps filling in more and more information about the people who live there. It is like getting a regular update from someone in town who is keeping me filled in on all the important happenings. Even though they only come out at Christmas time now, you always feel like you are getting right back in step with the lives of these people you have come to love. If you have never read any of them, this is a good time to jump right in and get your feet wet in Cape Light. It is obviously a wonderful place to live, and most definately, just as great a place to "visit". You will surely not be disappointed!

I enjoy this series, only problem is that lately you can notice the different writing styles. That can throw a person off a tad bit. I look forward to the next in their series !
