All Together in One Place

For Madison "Mazy" Bacon, a young Wisconsin farm wife, the future appears comfortably predictable. But when her husband sells the homestead and tells her they're moving west, Mazy's life is ripped apart. The Bacons become part of a wagon train on the Oregon Trail. Then disaster strikes! A cholera epidemic claims the life of her husband--and those of the other men on the journey. Suddenly, Mazy--along with Elizabeth, her adventurous mother; Ruth, who is running from the past and nine other extraordinary women--are pulled toward an uncertain destiny that binds their future together.

Interweaving the stories of love tried, challenges met and faith tested, All Together in One Place speaks to the strength within every woman and celebrates the promise of love and hope inside all loss. Based on a true historical incident, we think you'll find Jane Kirkpatrick's extraordinary novel "a treasure" (Romantic Times). handsell from andrea "You'll love this book from the first word to the last. Jane Kirkpatrick is a master storyteller whose women ill become trusted companions on your spiritual journey."--Andrea

This was a great book! There are alot of characters to keep up with, but once your into it, it really keeps you wanting to read more! Brings respect to those in our past and the trials they must have endured.

Strong women who shaped our country

These varied families and backgrounds are meshed together in adversity to work toward the welfare of the entire wagon party. It gives a sense of how our ancestors pulled together to make America great. Exciting and spiritual.

Book had a lot of characters to keep straight. Took me awhile to read it, but it was worth it. If you like history and a good story, this is it. Enjoy!

I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE FIRST BOOK IT SEEMED LIKE THE STORY LINE WAS ALL OVER THE PLACE. YOU COULDN'T FOLLOW THE STORYLINE. TOO MANY CHARACTERS TO KEEP UP WITH ALL AT ONCE THE SECOND ONE WAS THE SAME WAY DIDNT BOTHER WITH THE 3RD BOOK BRENDA

Inspiring

If you love books set in the old west, of strength and courage and love to learn about what our ancestors went through to form this country then this is the book for you. Ms. Kilpatrick obviously did her homework to give you the feel that you are there with these women crossing the wagon trail to California. You can just smell the animals and feel the dust on you. I have ordered more books by this author and am taking them on vacation with me!
