Where Grace Abides

Our members loved Rachel’s Secret, the first book in B.J. Hoff’s popular new series, The Riverhaven Years. The story of young Amish widow Rachel Brenneman and Irish-American riverboat captain Jeremiah Gant now continues in Where Grace Abides.

This compelling second novel offers readers an even closer look at the Amish community of Riverhaven and the people who live, love and work there. Secrets, treachery and persecution are only a few of the challenges that test Rachel’s faith and her love for the forbidden “outsider,” while Jeremiah’s own hopes are dealt a life-changing blow, rendering the vow he made to Rachel seemingly impossible to honor.

Many of the other characters first introduced in Rachel’s Secret now find their own gentle, unassuming lives of faith jeopardized by a malicious outside influence. At the same time, those striving to help runaway slaves escape to freedom through the Underground Railroad face deception and the danger of discovery.

All the elements we have come to expect from this beloved author—romance, drama and true-to-life characters—join together in Where Grace Abides to fill its pages with a tender love story and an inspiring journey of faith.

I see multiple comments about wondering where the 3rd book is and they are dated fall of 2010 and here it is summer of 2011 and I still don't see it. Is this yet another series that Crossing gets us started on and then stops selling them in the middle?

Loved the first two books. Can't wait to get the third. I've waited to long to enter back into the world of Rachel and Jeremiah. Loved the history and Amish culture played out in the story. I couldn't put the book down! P.S Can I pre-buy it and use the offer of purchasing one book and redeeming my free book?

Thanks Bj A. for spoiling it for some of us who haven't read it yet with your comments left on march 23, 2110!!! If u want to leave a review, please don't tell what does or doesn't happen in the book. That just takes away from those who don't want to know what happens til they read it for themselves.
