I purchased the first three books from the club eager to read more about my beloved Oz but I was terribly mistaken. I have read Wicked and thought it was a very bad take on the Wizard of Oz series. The story is very boring, Elphaba coming from a very religious family and going to college to meet Glinda. Reading Son of a Witch was better being the tale of her 'maybe' son but still very bad and leaves too many questions at the end of the story for my taste. The third book A Lion among Men I never read because of my dislike for the first two books.
