A Turn in the Road, Debbie Macomber’s newest Blossom Street tale, is everything we’ve come to expect from this beloved author—moving, uplifting and impossible to put down.
A dinner invitation from her ex-husband six years after he broke her heart and married his girlfriend has Bethanne fuming. Now she’s learned from her daughter, Annie, that he is divorced and, with the approach of their son’s wedding, looking to start over…with her! But can Bethanne forgive and forget? An independent and successful businesswoman—thanks to support from her friends at A Good Yarn—Bethanne knows she doesn’t need a man to make her happy. Then again, she can’t deny Grant still owns a piece of her heart. The question is how big a piece….
When Bethanne’s ex-mother-in-law, Ruth, a woman with whom she still shares a close friendship, decides to drive cross country to attend her 50th high school reunion, she and Annie, who’s just been spurned by her boyfriend, come along for the ride. Their journey, filled with wondrous moments, ultimately becomes a celebration of three generations of women who discover the best way to navigate each new turn in the road is with courage, wisdom…and an abundance of joy.

I don't know what these other so called "Christians" are talking about this book being undesirable. It was beautifully written. A sweet, old fashioned love story, as well as a touching journey for 3 different women at different stages in their lives, that come together in love regardless of age. Highly recommend. One of Debbie Macombers best books!

I am a Christian and very active in my church, and bought this book in LP and no one made a review in the LP section (I was the first one) and didn't have a clue about alcohol in this wonderful book. Guess what? I overlooked the alcohol content and the fact about the nudity scene (I thought that was pretty funny and this wasn't even in a love scene, mind you). What I saw in this book was three different women with three different of life adversities. I was more interested in the outcome of each women lives and found it was very rewarding to read. This would make a wonderful movie as long as the movie maker keeps sex and language out of it and make it just the way the book was written. I am not one of those who is judgemental and self-righteous person to look at the bad side of things pertaining in this story. I know Debbie is very careful on how she writes. She is an exceptional writer. Same thing with Richard Paul Evans books, and he is LDS, and he allows coffee and tea or whatever in his book but keeps his writing as clean as possible for reader like me to enjoy reading. So, anyone who wish to cast stones at this book, then you are being a bigot! I enjoyed this book so much and it is well written!

I couldn't believe Debbie M. could write such a cypher. The daughter/granddaughter
was a pain in the you know what. If I could have crawled in the book, I would have slapped her more than once. Needless to say, I'm so upset that I actually bought the hardcover. What a disaster!!

A Turn In the Road is a wonderful book. Once you start you won't be able to stop reading. I really loved the outcome of this book and hope that there will be more in the future about her new love interest.
