Wonderful But Sad

This was a wonderful book which kept me reading non-stop. It did have some very sad parts but overall I loved it.

My mother and I would love to read a follow-up to Mrs. Steele's Happy Birthday. It was a wonderful book but left you to wonder about so many things. A second book would be great. Thank you Danielle for your many wonderful books!

Disappointed again

I've loved books about sisters/best friends since i read LITTLE WOMEN in 4th grade. I have read a number of Danielle Steel's books and I usually end up cringing at the stereotypical characters, predictable plots and repetition. I keep hoping for better but never get it from her. And somehow the "incestuous" theme creeps in somehow and that's a little disturbing. I would love to see her really do something with her writing that doesn't involve the popular novel cookie cutter themes.

Sad...but alot of truth!!!

Although, I found myself crying throughout the book and it was depressing at times, I related to this more than any book that she has written in a long time. After having lost 2 very close friends of mine in recent years, I really related to this book. It was a truthful book reminding us that we do not need to take our family and friends for granted.
