Justine Meade is no stranger to heartache. She lost her mother when she was young and more recently her 15-year-old son, who moved in with his father. But a summons from Justine’s despised stepmother leads to a loss she cannot abide after Mack, her devoted black and white Sheltie, becomes separated from her en route to her childhood home.
Ed and Alice Parmalee, grown apart since the terrible death of their daughter, are drawn to the sweet-natured dog they find wandering in the cemetery and take him home, promising themselves they’ll try to find his owner. As Susan Wilson’s The Dog Who Danced plays out, Mack is guided by his herd dog’s instincts, and Justine learns you don’t always need to be lost in order to be found.

Loved all their family drama; the dog's, the dog's owner and the couple who found the dog. Also loved her previous book One Good Dog.

This is a great book. It will warm your heart when you meet "Mack" to one owner, "Buddy" to the heart broken couple that find him. Anyone who has ever loved a dog or any animal will enjoy this story. The story brought tears to my eyes a time or two. Always a good sign for me.
