Dreams of the Dead by New York Times bestselling author Perri O’Shaughnessy delivers suspense and red herrings aplenty as the most vicious killer attorney Nina Reilly ever defended may be on the loose again.
Re-established at her law office in South Lake Tahoe, Nina Reilly takes on a new client, Philip Strong, owner of a Lake Tahoe ski resort. Nina represented Philip’s son, Jim, several years earlier when he was about to be charged with the murder of his brother. Over time, Nina came to believe her client was not as innocent as he appeared. Jim Strong scared and threatened her. Then, to everyone’s relief, he vanished. Did Paul van Wagoner, Nina’s friend and ex-lover, have a hand in his disappearance?
Now, Philip is trying to sell his beloved resort, but a claim from Brazil in the name of Jim Strong has arisen. And when women tied to the area casino business start turning up dead, Nina has more to worry about than a complex real estate deal. Is it possible that Jim Strong is alive and killing again? And if so, is Nina in danger? As the window of time for Nina to win her case grows ever smaller, her greatest fears come home to roost as she learns that even the dead can still tell tales.

I am glad to see the o'shaughnessy sisters back! It's been a long time since their last book. Sad to say that after the long lay-off , I was expecting more. Nina still can't make up her mind about a romantic interest. If I were either Paul or Kurt I would have sent her packing. She is a selfish lover who only thinks of her own needs. She ought to be alone. Sandy Whitefeather is great as always.
