Time was, baker Lizzy Tucker didn’t have to deal with anything darker than the chocolate ganache on her cupcakes. Then the surfer-blond, disturbingly charming Diesel entered her life, along with his nemesis, the raven-haired, eerily alluring Wulf Grimoire. They’re both after the ancient SALIGIA stones, which hold the power of the seven deadly sins—and they’re convinced that Lizzy has the extranormal ability to find the stones.
Lizzy and Diesel have already found the “gluttony” stone. Now, on a perfectly lovely autumn day, Diesel and his pet monkey, Carl, whisk her away from her kitchen to a crime scene. Lizzy senses that the body sprawled on the sidewalk points the way to another SALIGIA stone—this time, it’s the “lust” one.
Their search will take them on a desperate, albeit scenic, tour of New England, from the catacombs under Boston’s Old North Church, through the city’s charming Louisburg Square, to the chambers of a centuries-old secret society deep within Dartmouth College.
But Wulf, along with his minion Hatchet, are also on the trail. As the arcane power of the lust stone puts temptation in the path of Lizzy and Diesel, can they keep their focus on finding the stone before Wulf does?

This book seems to be one that everyone loves or hates. I did not like it at all - returned it to the library unfinished. Implausible, silly plot. Not at all entertaining.

I finally gave up on the "Stephanie Plum" books but this was a fun and quick read.

This was just what I needed - fun summer reading at it's best. I was sad to see this one end because I was having such a good time reading it. I wasn't too thrilled with the last Plum book (didn't even finish it) - so I was so PLEASED to find this one so entertaining! Love the characters and of course it is as silly as it can be. It you don't like silly you should skip this book. If you want just a FUN escape then read this one!
