Together with beautiful FBI agent Jamilla Hughes, he plunges into a menacing world of secret clubs and bizarre role-players, where people sometimes cross the line--from dark ritual to real blood.
Meanwhile the brilliant and terrifying criminal known as the Mastermind has returned--and he's more determined then ever to get revenge. Stalking, taunting and threatening everything--and everyone--Alex holds dear, Mastermind is close to breaking the senior detective. Until the time comes for a deadly confrontation--and Cross discovers at last the awful secret of his most relentless nemesis.

Always a joy read Patterson. I am playig catch up on some I have missed. The hours fly by.
I am a picky reader and have loved most Patterson novels. This one continued to deliver, good suspense and plot twists, however a bit more predictable than prior novels.

Normally I'm not into the super natural stuff, however, this was very good and was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I finished it in only 1 day. Definately recommend it!
