Deception Point

The suspense in this lightning-fast thriller will have you on the edge of your seat! The shocking discovery of a rare object buried deep within the Arctic ice seems like a much-needed victory for the floundering space agency NASA, and a potential boost for the sagging polls in the President’s re-election campaign. But before anyone can claim a coup, the discovery needs to be authenticated.

The President calls upon intelligence analyst Rachel Sexton to travel to North with a team of experts, including charismatic scholar Michael Tolland. There, Rachel uncovers evidence of a deadly plot that could trigger world disaster. Before she can warn the President, she and Michael are ambushed. As they flee for their lives across the frozen terrain, their only hope for survival is to find out who is behind the conspiracy. The truth, they learn, will be the most shocking deception of all.

Great book, I have read all of Dan Browns books, look forward to next one. I not only get the enjoyment of reading a well written story I also learn something from every book. I was married to a 33rd degree Mason, never knew as much about the Masons as I do now. I could go on about all I have learned, it would take several pages. I will only ask when can we expect his next book.

A really enjoyable read.

I wasn't sure what to expect since it was somewhat a departure from his recent offerings. The book is well-written, entertaining, a complex blend of politics, science, and action. It reminded me of David Poyer's books which are quite detailed in parts about technical subjects but without the political intrigue.

Kind of a slow start but a really good book once you get into it. I would suggest it to a friend.
