At first glance, I was disappointed the poems were not written by Caroline Kennedy or her family. But, after beginning to read the poems, they were very nice & cute for children. I'm glad I purchaased the book and have shared several poems with family and friends.

I was very plesantly surprised by the quality of this tome. The variety of the poems was welcome and the illustrations were top drawer.I have enjoyed some of Caroline's books and was not disappointed with this endeavor to spread the joy of reading.

Classic Poems

While this was not what I was expecting, it is still a great read. I had anticipated more whimsical and lyrical poems. The poems within this collection are more traditional and classic. They are great quality reading just not as fun for little listeners. Still, I completely enjoyed this book even if my little one was less interested in hearing it and more interested in eating it :)

Boring

I got this book because I want my daughter interested in poetry, but this book is just flat out and plain boring! My daughter hates to sit through it and she loves books! I hate to sit through it as well, the most I can read is maybe two poems and then I'm done! Waste of money, can't see what everyone else saw in this book, it had good reviews.

Just Beautiful!

These poems remind me of my childhood, sitting on a porch swing with my grandfather reading the poems he wrote. I now sit on my porch swing with my children reading this poetry to them. It is just a wonderful book.
