Dear Readers,
When I finished writing my last book, A SINGLE THREAD, I was genuinely sorry to say goodbye to the village of New Bern, Connecticut and all the characters who spend their days at the Cobbled Court Quilt Shop. So, at the end of the story, I penned a letter to readers, asking them to write and let me know if they felt the same.
I hoped they would, but never imagined that I would receive literally thousands of letters and emails from readers urging me to give them more from New Bern. "Write a sequel!" they demanded. "Better yet, a series! And quickly!"
Their wish was my command - and my pleasure.
Writing A THREAD OF TRUTH, my second Cobbled Court novel, challenged to me as a writer, a woman, and a mother. Sometimes, before finding the happy ending, writers must delve into the dark recesses of imagination, walking in the shoes of characters facing difficulties and even danger.
I put myself in those shoes while writing A THREAD OF TRUTH, the book that returns readers to the Cobbled Court Quilt Shop for a reunion with Evelyn, Abigail, Margot, Liza and the rest of the residents of New Bern, as well as newcomer Ivy Peterman.
When Ivy flees to New Bern, Connecticut to escape her abusive husband, the young mother finds work at the Cobbled Court Quilt Shop - and a supportive sisterhood of women who teach her to quilt, to laugh, and to trust anew.
But peace is short-lived after Ivy accidentally appears in a popular quilting show taped at the shop, alerting her ex to her whereabouts.
Suddenly Ivy faces the fight of her life, but this time a determined sisterhood has her back: companions as complex, strong and lasting as the quilts they stitch.
For the thousands of readers who wrote to tell me they wanted more from Cobbled Court, this book is for you! Thank you for encouraging me to write it. And to readers who have not yet had a chance to read A SINGLE THREAD, I hope you'll order a copy of A THREAD OF TRUTH and join me on this trip to New England and the charming village of New Bern, Connecticut. It's a journey worth making.

You’ll want to “sit back and enjoy this big-hearted novel, and then pass it on to your best friend” (Susan Wiggs). As Marie Bostwick’s A Thread of Truth unwinds, Ivy Peterman has fled an abusive marriage with her kids in tow, to a place as far from her turbulent life as she could find. In quaint, New Bern, Connecticut, Ivy feels renewed, particularly in her part-time job at the Cobbled Court Quilt Shop. But when a popular quilting show tapes an episode at the shop, Ivy is visible in their on-air promo, alerting her ex-husband to her whereabouts. Suddenly forced into the fight of her life, Ivy feels more hopeful, knowing that this time she has a sisterhood behind her, friends as strong and lasting as the quilts they stitch.

Really enjoyed the story and look forward to more. Kept tripping over the mis-spellings and lack of words. I am shocked the book was published with so many errors.

I thought it was GREAT! I didn't have any misprints or anything like the other reviewer thought...hmm...I guess we have different schema, but I loved it. It was hard to put down. I'm waiting for more in the series!

MY REVIEW CAN BE SUMMED UP IN ONE WORD "BORING"

I loved reading more about characters I enjoyed from A Single Thread. I'm looking forward to the third book, due out summer 2010. Editor needs to do a much better job proof reading the final copy. The numerous errors throughout the entire book distracted from an otherwise good read.

I know that the misprints is the fault of the publisher, but there are a lot of them. I'm nearing the end of the book and it has too much about other people in the book where the main character is left out. I have read much better books.
