Gone Tomorrow
October 03, 2009

I recently read Lee Child's recent book and found it to be taut, tightly written and something I had trouble putting down until I finished it. I actually decided to read it based on a recommendation as one of the top 50 authors made recently by Newsweek magazine. And found the recommendation to be well founded. Mr. Child has created a character that every person, male o female, can relate to. He is spare with the excess baggage he carries through his life and makes the action fast paced and believable. The story moved quickly, keeping me on the "edge of my seat" but also feeling a real connection with the humanity of the main character and those around him. I definitely want and need to go back for more and wish I had started out with the earlier books first.

I have read all of the Jack Reacher series and am a devoted fan. This in my opinion was not the best but still worth my time. Every new book I read about Reacher continues my fasination with him. He is complex yet simple. Strong yet tender. Every woman's dream man, every man's hero. Would love to have more adventures with Jack without waiting so long in between. Strongly recommended but start at the beginning to capture his full personality.

I'm not a fan of books like this, but a friend loaned me 3 of lee child's books (including this one)and i read them so fast it was amazing. Reacher is quite the character and enjoyed the books ALOT. The plots make you want to keep turning the pages. Give him a try if you haven't before, you just might get hooked like me.

This is my first time reading Lee Child and his Jack Reacher novels, it will not be my last, it was a fast read, I could not put it down and I planned my week so I could savor it and it didn't disapoint. I plan on looking for more Jack Reacher novels.

This is my first time reading Lee Child, it won't be my last. I started reading this book and immediately went to my reading list and ordered my next month's book because I knew I would have this one devoured in a short time. Non-Stop action, clever storyline and some nail-biting situations, now I am going to my book club and start browsing some more Jack Reacher novels.
