Finally, an author that doesn't hold back on the descriptions. I couldn't put this book down. Totally believable. I didn't pick up on the true murderer. Good character development. The editing fell short in the last couple of chapters which spoiled some of the story. But, all in all, I can't wait for the next in the Kate Burkholder series.

If I could put 10 stars I would. This book was GREAT!! I read it in about 5 hours...could not put it down. The story line was very smooth without too much boring detail like some books have. Even though I figured out about halfway through who the killer was, it was still great. I cannot wait for her next book.

It was just too graphic with regard to the sexual violence for my taste. The characters were well developed and I enjoyed the Ohio Amish setting, which is the main reason I chose this book.

I couldn't put it down. I read it in less than a week. It captured me from the first to the last page. I am definately looking forward to more work from this author!
