Forensic sculptor Eve Duncan has never stopped searching for the man who killed her daughter Bonnie years ago. The search has brought her into contact with unimaginably evil madmen, but none compare to Kevin Jelak, a veritable monster whose victims provide him with what he craves most: blood. That’s why he leaves a goblet of his preferred drink in Eve’s refrigerator. He wants her to get a taste of what’s in store….
In Blood Game, Iris Johansen creates an adrenaline rush of non-stop action, and gives readers the same gut-wrenching fear that grips Eve as she takes on her most twisted opponent yet. First, though, she has to convince her lover, Atlanta Detective Joe Quinn, that he isn’t competing with Bonnie’s ghost for her attention. But as they soon find out, ghosts are everywhere—and so are the bodies of women who never had a chance. When the bloodless corpse of a Georgia state senator’s daughter is discovered, Eve decides to accept Jelak’s invitation to come out and play. And she knows that even with help from those she trusts most—Joe, her adopted daughter Jane and a mysterious psychic with his own agenda—the only opponent Jelak wants in his sick game is her.

This book took me forever to finish and I was determined to do so. For some reason it was just to far out there. Guess I'm too much of a realist.
