True Blue

After two years in the slammer for a crime she didn’t commit, disgraced Washington, D.C., cop Mason “Mace” Perry is on a mission: to redeem herself and be known as a true blue once again. Problem is, breaking back into the force after serving time is almost impossible. Her one shot to prove that she has the right to wear the uniform is to solve a major case on her own. And that’s where Roy Kingman comes in.

Written by David Baldacci—the New York Times bestselling author of Absolute Power, the Camel Club books and the King & Maxwell series—True Blue is a complex, heart-hammering thriller about a homicide investigation that takes a terrifying turn. A young lawyer at one of Washington’s most prestigious firms, Roy Kingman has a fatal character flaw: he cares. So when he discovers the body of a female partner at the firm, he refuses to let the case be swept under the rug. But is teaming up with Mace Perry on the QT the smart thing to do? Perhaps not. As their clandestine investigation unfolds, they find themselves going head-to-head against some of the most powerful people in our nation’s capital…and getting an unwelcome taste of the dark side of national security.

Wish I had read the reviews before purchasing!

I am a big, big fan of David Baldacci, and purchased TRUE BLUE without reading the reviews. Hate to say it but this book is so exhausting that I may not finish reading it. I have read all of David's books, and have DELIVER US FROM EVIL to read next. David, please do not write a sequel of TRUE BLUE with these characters! They are totally unlikable and uninteresting. You are too good a writer with tons of interesting characters to unload this on your fans. Thank you.

If you love David's books don't read this one.

This book leaves me wondering, David have you run out of ideas? Until now I loved every book written by David Baldacci. I was very disappointed with this one, should I bother to read his next?

I have jsut finished reading "True Blue"...it was hard to put down! I really enjoyed it!! I agree with one of the other reviewers that the ending was a little "unfinished". A sequel would be fun!! Please, Mr. Baldacci??

Baldacci, what were you thinking?

With anticipation, I purchased the new book by my fav author. Fortunately the chapters are short. If they were longer than two pages, I'd never finish this book. I get the feeling Baldacci was under pressure to pump out another best seller, as I would expect. This one falls far short of his previous works.
