Lydia's Charm

Wanda Brunstetter’s Lydia’s Charm takes you to Amish Country as Lydia King attempts to make Charm, Ohio, feel like home after losing her husband.

Widowed and jobless, Lydia returns home with her son to be close to her mother and help with her grandfather. Menno Troyer is also recently widowed and the father of four energetic boys. Levi Stutzman is the only one in his family not handicapped by dwarfism and has dedicated his life to caring for them. Suddenly, a gift appears on Lydia’s doorstep. Is it from the widowed father of four boys, or is it from the man who has rejected romance to be his family’s caregiver?

When life hands Lydia another challenge, will the gifts from her secret admirer prompt her to pursue an impossible love?

Quite Boring!
February 16, 2011

I just finished this book and to be very truthful it is so boring. I enjoy books centered around the Amish but in this book you lose interest quickly. It is so unrealistic even for a fiction book. I would not recommend this book.

True to life
November 05, 2010

This book was well-researched and accurately portrays the Amish people's lives who live in Holmes County, Ohio. It was an interesting, faith-building story that kep me reading from beginning to end.
