First Eve, then Quinn. Now, with Bonnie, blockbuster bestselling author Iris Johansen completes the electrifying trilogy that has kept her legions of fans in breathless anticipation.
When Eve Duncan gave birth to her daughter, Bonnie, the love she felt was intense, overwhelming and transformative. From that moment on, she was determined to give her amazing little girl a wonderful life, the kind she never experienced.
Then came the day seven-year-old Bonnie vanished while on a class outing. It signaled the onset of a nightmare from which Eve never fully emerged, even though she’s spent the ensuing years using her skill as a forensic sculptor to help others achieve closure when the unthinkable happens to their child. But has Eve’s relentless search for answers finally paid off? Compelling new evidence gathered by Eve’s lover, top cop Joe Quinn, and the CIA’s Catherine Ling strongly suggests that Bonnie’s disappearance was no random act, and that her father is key to unmasking the killer. Yes killer. For Eve’s never doubted that Bonnie is dead. And now, as danger closes in, Eve looks to her daughter’s ghostly image to help her at long last find peace….

I had to laugh when I read Lola's review! I thought the very same thing. The story was okay but Iris Johansen needs to find different ways to describe people when they are speaking. I'll bet if you counted the "twisted lips" it would be well into the 100's!

The story is compelling, but the use of the word "lips" is very distracting. He twisted his lips, she moistened her lips, her lips tightened. This and other phrases containing the word lips is used 20, 30, 40 times in the 4 books I've read. Is this an obsession with the author or am I missing something?

I thought I had a certain feeling who what where But guess what? Totally WRONG!!! Fantastic ending sad revealing and in a way comforting.

I was glad to finally find out what happened to Bonnie. It had an interesting twist I wasn't expecting; so sad and very tragic. I'm glad we finally found out. It has been interesting, but now we can finally move on. I hope Eve does, too. Maybe Bonnie will stick around and help her solve her cases. Much better than the EVE book.

Finally, an end for Eve Duncan's earch for her daughter. As usual, Iris Johansen does not disappoint.
