In An Affair Without End, Candace Camp tells the story of the all-too-serious Earl of Stewkesbury who is scandalized by a free-spirited socialite with some very shocking ideas about life and love.
When Oliver, the very proper Earl of Stewkesbury, took in his American cousins, he never expected them to be so much trouble. The good news is that he’s found someone to chaperone them. The bad news is that it’s none other than Vivian Carlyle! Flame-haired, with a personality to match, she also holds some decidedly modern opinions, and they’re rubbing off…on him! And try as he might to live up to his lofty standards of conduct, when he’s with her, all he wants is to abandon convention...and behave very badly indeed!

I won't buy another. Too slow and draggy.

Wish I could say I enjoyed this book, but I really didn't. I realize it is intended to be 'witty' and rather light, and that would have been okay. But instead it seemed to be moving in one direction only to turn around and go in another on the same page. I thought the plot lacked substance and the characters lacked depth. I will NOT buy another by this author. Into the ditch bag to be sold for a dollar or two or donated.
